Frequently asked Questions

Which anaesthesia do you use?

In the Rothenbaum Clinic, we choose the most palliative type of anaesthesia as indicated by the treatment.

We can select from various types of general anaesthesia such as TIVA (total intravenous anaesthesia), light anaesthesia, or twilight sleep, as well as regional anaesthesia such as spinal- or peridural anaesthesia, plexus nerve block, or simple local anaesthesia.

The type of anaesthesia depends upon the surgery to be performed and your general health. We always discuss this individually with you prior to the operation.
